Slow Cook Butter Chicken

A mild, creamy & lightly spiced butter chicken simmer sauce created for slow cooking. Just add meat or vegetables.

Serving Suggestion


Slow Cook Method:

  1. Mix meat and/or vegetables and sauce in a slow cooker
  2. Cook for 4 hours on a high setting or for 8 hours if using a low setting

Oven Method: 

  1. Add one tablespoon of vegetable oil to a pan and heat on a medium to high setting
  2. Sear the meat for 2 minutes and transfer to an oven proof casserole dish
  3. Add the sauce to the dish and combine with the meat and/or vegetables
  4. Cover tightly with foil and cook for 150°C for 4 hours

What You'll Need

  • 1.5kg of Chicken Maryland and/or Vegetables Cut Into Large Chunks
  • 500g (2 Cups) of Basmati Rice

Chef's Note

For that extra creaminess try stirring a couple of tablespoons of cream into the dish before serving & add a chapati on the side to soak up all the sauce.
